I don't go to church, but I'd like my children to go to Voyagers (Sunday School), so that they can decide for themselves, is that OK? If you wish to bring your children at about 10.15 on Sunday morning, and collect them at 11.30, that's fine. We encourage parents to attend special services, when the children may be singing, acting etc, but you don't have to be there every week. Back to top

I haven't been to church much in the past, but would like to learn more, can I come and see what it's like? Anyone is welcome to attend services, if you are unsure what to do, where to sit etc, there is always someone at the door, just ask! After a service, if you would like to find out more, please ask a steward (identified by a badge), they will either be able to help or direct you to someone else who can. Back to top

I'm concerned about my children's safety while they are at the church. We have a documented Safe from Harm Policy which means that all people working with children and young people have been trained and police checked to ensure that all children are safe. If you would like to read the complete document, then click here. (Note to other churches, if you would like a copy of the document in Word format, please mail the webmaster) Back to top |

I was a member of a different church (Roman Catholic, Anglican etc), can I take communion? The table in the Methodist Church is open to all who love the Lord, so anyone may take communion. Back to top

I'm disabled, will access be difficult for me? Not at all. The church and all the main rooms are at street level, and there are no steps, so it is easy for you to come in. There are no pews, just chairs, so if you have a wheelchair we can easily make a space next to your friends or family. Just explain to the door steward what is best for you and they will help. If you use a hearing aid, we have a loop system. Back to top

Are there rooms that I can use for meetings or parties? Yes, we have rooms of various sizes, some ground floor, some first floor, and a modern well equipped kitchen/ coffee bar. These are available for anyone (subject to availability) providing the proposed use does not conflict with Christian and Methodist principles. Please note that no alcohol is permitted on the premises, and due to insurance restrictions, bouncy castles are not allowed for children's parties. Back to top
